Chemical Peel in Englewood, FL

Peel Away the Past, Glow Forward | Florida Lakes Spa

Sometimes, people feel younger on the inside than they look on the outside. Age spots, wrinkles and other issues make them appear older and more tired than their real energy and attitude.

So how does a person make their outside match how they feel inside? A chemical peel in Englewood, FL, accomplishes this and more.

Patients at Florida Lakes Spa choose our chemical peel or our “no-peel peel” to erase years for a more youthful, refreshed look. Request a consultation and discuss your concerns with our team of aesthetic experts. We’ll help you understand your choices and pick the peel that appeals to you most!

What is a chemical peel?

Your Florida Lakes Spa provider can deliver transformative results by applying a unique chemical solution to your skin. Depending on the length of time that the chemical peel solution remains, it can peel anything from a single layer to multiple layers of damaged skin, revealing refreshed, healthy skin below.

The peel process also triggers your body’s injury response mechanisms. As the skin’s natural healing response goes into motion, your body increases its natural production of collagen and elastin. These 2 proteins are the building blocks of your skin.

This enhanced production repairs and strengthens your skin’s cellular structure, creating healthier skin over time.

The VI Peel For Very Important Rejuvenation

In the world of chemical peels, the VI Peel from Vitality Institute rises to the top of peel procedures. This customizable facial only takes about 30 minutes, and our patients find it to be an extremely tolerable treatment.

What It Does

The VI Peel offers a medium-depth penetration, affecting the top layer of skin (the epidermis) and the upper part of the middle layer of skin (the dermis).

Similar to other chemical peels, the VI Peel at Florida Lakes Spa exfoliates your skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.

What It’s Made Of

The Vitality Institute formulates the VI Peel solution from a blend of ingredients, including:

  • Trichloroacetic acid (TCA). A main peeling agent.
  • Phenol. A deeper penetrating peeling agent.
  • Salicylic acid. A peeling agent that also cleanses pores.
  • Vitamin C. To brighten skin as it reduces hyperpigmentation.
  • Tretinoin. Medication for rapid exfoliation and collagen production enhancement.

The VI Peel Process

When you choose the VI Peel as your chemical peel in Englewood, FL, we can personalize the procedure to match your needs. However, here are some general expectations and outlines of treatment.

The Consultation

When you come in for a consultation, we’ll talk about your concerns and your goals, listening closely to make sure you know you’re heard and understood. We’ll ask about your medical history, any skin allergies or sensitivities you might have, and we’ll examine your facial skin.

If the VI Peel best meets your needs to help you look more youthful and confident, we’ll schedule your appointment. If time allows, we could even begin your treatment on the same day.

The Application

Your Florida Lakes Spa provider will first perform a relaxing cleansing to remove dirt and oil from your skin. When that’s finished, they’ll apply the VI Peel solution in 2 phases.

VI Peel Phase 1

The first layer of solution penetrates the surface of your skin. You may feel slight numbness or tingling as the solution begins the exfoliation.

VI Peel Phase 2

We apply a second layer of solution to go deeper, all the way into the top of the dermis. Once the second layer gets applied, your skin will “frost,” or turn white.

When Phase 2 completes, you’ll head home with the treatment solution still on your skin. After about 4 hours, you’ll wash the remaining peel solution off. Around 3 days later, the peeling begins!

The Results

This chemical peel in Englewood, FL, combines powerful results with a gentle touch. Unlike many other chemical peels that create an intense stinging or burning sensation, the VI Peel usually feels more like a warm tingle on the skin that fades shortly after treatment.

Once the treated skin starts peeling off, most clients only have that effect last for 2 to 3 days, with little to no downtime. During the peeling, you’ll need to cleanse your skin gently and refrain from pulling or tugging on the skin as it peels.

Within a week, you’ll notice smoother, brighter, and more radiant skin. It’s the perfect way to refresh your complexion without disrupting your routine.

  • Crepey skin
  • Stretch marks
  • Acne scars

Where It Treats

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Décolleté
  • Hands
  • Arms
  • Glutes
  • Thighs
  • Back

How the No-Peel Peel Works

PRX Derm Perfexion requires a series of 4 to 6 gentle treatments for immediate and long-lasting results.

After cleansing your skin, your Florida Lakes Spa provider applies the topical PRX Derm Perfexion solution in layers, massaging it into the skin each time. Your goals and skin concerns dictate the number of layers needed during each session. Afterwards, we’ll rinse your skin and apply a deep moisturizer.

Depending on the number of layers, the treatment takes from 15 to 45 minutes to complete.

Why PRX Derm Perfexion Is Unique

Our no-peel peel facial is the only globally patented professional treatment formulated with 33% trichloroacetic acid (TCA), hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid.

The hydrogen peroxide stimulates the body’s healing response, causing inflammation that activates your fibroblasts. In turn, these create new collagen and elastin for improved volume, hydration, and overall skin health.

The TCA helps that hydrogen peroxide penetrate all the way to the dermal layer, further stimulating the wound healing process.

The kojic acid helps reduce skin pigmentation for a more even skin tone, and it also reduces the appearance of age spots.

Who can have a PRX Derm Perfexion facial?

As a no-peel chemical peel in Englewood, FL, PRX Derm Perfexion safely treats all skin types, ages, and genders in any season of the year.

It helps tighten, tone, and lift skin for visible rejuvenation of the face and body. It also helps your inner youth shine outwardly with the renowned PRX Glow™.
